There are a lot of Gurus when it comes to Internet Marketing and when I say a lot I mean A LOT! However, all of them have their own little space in the IM World and that’s the beauty of it all. If you want to achieve anything then you have pick a spot and go after that spot/area with everything you got! You’ll be tempted along the way to switch or include more things but DONT! Keep to your PLAN! Once you start adding more and more to your goals the harder it will be to reach your target! Information overload is a serious thing and has killed many a Internet Marketers dream! Don’t do it!

Somebody that I really admire and look up to is Jason Fladlien. The guy is ultra intelligent and somebody worth following. I have several of his products and they are all great quality. However, even though his products are A1 i think you can learn way more in his blog posts. You see, your pathway to success is not set in stone and part of achieving that success is working out which pathway you want to take. Jason and myself can help you with that so before spending big bucks on a product take your time and look around the internet. Follow some things you might find interesting and go from there.

Internet Marketing is a job. Just like the JOB you have right now and HATE. The is a lot of hype around Internet Marketing and the GURU’s love to sell you the dream. Don’t fall for that BULLSH*T. Its a JOB and like all JOB’s you have stuff that you’ll probably have to do and YOU WILL HATE!

There are SO MANY WAYS  to make money online it will make your head spin and for every way to make you money there is 10 internet marketing Guru’s who will show you how to do it for some $$$ of course. Don’t fall victim to the hype. Relax and think about what you like to do and wouldn’t mind doing as a job and go from there. You don’t have to be in a hurry the Web ain’t going anywhere.

Lets FACE IT… That’s right.. I’m speaking to YOU! Internet Marketing is HARD and its NOT for everyone. Sure everybody thinks they can  do the hard work and learn what ever they need to do but even with all those things mastered its still no guarantee of Squillions!

Below is some mistakes that you can make along the way that will stop or hinder your success.

Internet marketing Mistakes:

1. NOT PICKING A NICHE YOU HAVE A INTEREST OR PASSION IN.
2. NOT BEING AN ENTREPRENEUR.
3. NOT SCALING UP.
4. ITS ALL ABOUT MARKETING/MAKING MONEY.
5. NOT KNOWING HOW MUCH YOUR WORTH.
6. BUYING TOO MANY PRODUCTS.
7. BEING ON TOO MANY INTERNET GURUS EMAIL LIST.
8. NOT TAKING ACTION.
9. NOT BEING FED TOO MUCH INFORMATION.
10. DONT BE A PERFECTIONIST.
11. CHOOSE THE RIGHT PRODUCTS.
12. QUIT SELLING AND START HELPING.

If you haven’t made a dollar yet from Internet Marketing then you need to FOCUS and cut back on your learning and get on with doing.

I’ve made some terrible mistakes in the past and its cost me loads of money but hey… you live and you learn. However, you MUST access how your doing and readjust your strategy and move forward.

Just remember, You can’t be good at everything. Just pick one area of expertise and run with it. Most of the Guru’s are good/excellent in one area. They even tell you that in all the emails/seminars/products etc.

So Why All the Buzz about Social Media?

Hey, if you’ve been living on the moon for the past 10 years then I forgive you for NOT knowing about Social Media.

Currently, or should I say for the last year or so Its been absolutely smashed by some of the heavyweights in the Internet Marketing “bizzo”. Well, I couldn’t give a toot about Social Media at all. I’ve already got so much on my plate that learning a whole area of IM would just be way too much! However, was I missing out on a potential goldmine?

Does Social Media Convert?

The traffic from Social Media is known to be poor traffic. The people that are using Social Media are there to catch up with friends and loved ones. Naturally, their not that interested in buying anything you shove down their throats at all! Makes sense right? So, how are all these people making money then? Well, because its a social type of environment some people are using Twitter and Facebook to vent frustrations and problems out on the world. Using various programs you can “join” their conversations and offer up suggestions to help their problems (with your affiliate link of course).

Social Media Tactics

Another way to make some moolah is to “tweet” good advice or information. 10 tweets a day for 10 days should do it. Then when you have an army of followers you can then start sending them to various money pages. Now some of the people wont check them out but some will, because you’ve built up some good credibility with your tweets. You’ve offered good useful information for free so you can be trusted in their eyes.

Now, I’m sure there are absolutely loads more ways to make money online with Social Media. In fact, the way Internet Marketers churn out product after product probably 2 a day or more. So if you ever want to learn some more techniques I’m sure you won’t have a problem. Just remember that if you want to master Social Media its going to take some time and patience.

Internet Marketing is hard. Very hard in fact. So damn hard that the big wigs in IM (Gurus) spend so much time making out that its the easiest thing on Earth to do. What a crock of “Cr**”. What ever they say you can’t quit your job in a month and start making $5000 a month from the get go. I hate when they show you reports from Clickbank or where ever as proof. Most of the time they never show you what the money was for or how much they spent getting that bottom line. Its a joke a they should hang their heads in SHAME SHAME SHAME!

You so called Guru’s know who you are!

Anyways, if you’re new to IM then I’m sure you’ve probably signed up to hundreds of optins like I have/did in the past. You can’t help yourself. All this stuff is floating around saying “Get this thing FREE” and “The Secrets to making $10000000 in 10 days for FREE – just type in your email”…

Bollocks!

You’re best bet is to sign out of every one’s emails pronto. Your head is already starting to get filled up with so much stuff you’re probably ready to explode. Filling your head with more stuff from the so called gurus is not going to help. Deleting all the emails you get from them is a step into the right direction. Clearing that all important space for the important internet marketing information you really need.

So why do they do it? Well, you have to remember that a lot of Guru’s get “paid” when you click on a link and buy a product they endorse. Its called an affiliate commission and if they have a large list and heaps of people buy from them they get paid BIG TIME! So its in their best interest to email often. However, a lot of the time the so called GURU’S don’t even try the products out to see if they work or not. This is pitiful which is why you need to be careful about opting in to all those emails.

So, If you’re new to internet marketing you need the right advice or information to succeed. You need information that is guaranteed to bring you an income. No hype. No BS and totally transparent. I recommend picking one Guru and one Guru only and finding everything about him. Do some Google research and then sign up for the emails. Buy only ONE product and use it and master it. Make a tonne of money from it and go from there. If you have trouble doing that ask him to help you out until you make money from that product. Then, re-evaluate and move on to another product if need be. Also, there is a loads of free information online at certain forums and blogs. However, NOT all the information is accurate. So use your BRAIN! And don’t get sucked into buying anything from there as well!

Well if you’re new to Internet Marketing then “hi, how you doing? Hope its been good for you so far!” If you were anything like me after the first couple of weeks your head must be swimming with a million things to do and buy! Mine was going crazy because I was working 12hour days for minimum wage and I really wanted to get off that ride, DESPERATELY! However, before I tell you what I think are the essential tools for Internet Marketing let me tell you about where I was.

My job was ruining my life, my marriage and my health. I was in an office sitting on my then “fat ass” eating very very badly. Putting on 2 stone was no problem at all! So Boy was I one unhappy camper. Anyways, Internet Marketing was my little ray of sunshine and I really desperately wanted to make it work so that I could give my J.O.B the flick.

However in my rush to quit my work I had developed a massive problem. I had immersed myself so deep into Internet Marketing that my brain was bombarded with a Guzzillion products to buy and I had NO IDEA what was essential and what was NOT!

I had reached what they called ‘Information Overload!’

Anyways, I did end up buying a few products. Some were crap. Others good. A few really good. A couple I would call ESSENTIAL PURCHASE.

1. Market Samurai.

When I first bought MS I was blown away just like the countless thousands before me. A one time purchase for $100 bucks was a steal. Just search the forums or the Internet for MS reviews and pretty much all of them will sing it praise. Market Samurai has too many features to go through here and the guys are adding more and more and more to it. When it comes to keyword research and SEO it has to be one of the best if not the best out there today.

2. Micro Niche Finder

Micro Niche Finder is now at version 5. Which goes to show James Jones’ commitment to the product. And why wouldn’t he? The product is a smash. Now why would you need another Keyword research tool if you already have MS? Well, yes, MNF is another keyword tool but it does have a different layout and some different features then MS. Remember, these tools can be very complex and different marketers use them in different ways.

I use MNF to help me find exact keyword domains. Its the best/fastest/greatest at doing that one job. There is nothing out there even remotely close. Anyways, just like MS it too has a more features than a AUDI so I won’t go into them for you here. Check them out for yourself here.

3. SEnuke

When it came to choosing a bit of kit that could deliver a knock out blow for my online presence it was going to either LinkDozer or SEnuke. Now, I had tried SEnuke in the past and felt it was good but a bit buggy. I recently had the chance to use LD and was not impressed. It was definitely NOT intuitive to use and seemed overly complex for no reason at all. Some of the features were missing and it was buggy as hell! So, back to SEnuke it was then.

SEnuke has gone through some important upgrades since my first taste and I must say that It is really starting to impress me. I also managed to do some online training using Mark Dulisse’s Advanced SEnuke training and that’s helped me immensely. I know SEnuke isn’t cheap but it’s vitally essential because it can help you achieve those top Google rankings your website needs to make cash. Check it out here.

4. The Best Spinner

Article writing is one of the Internet Marketing jobs that nearly everyone hates… for a reason. It can really suck. If you’re broke like me and can’t afford to outsource your articles then you have to turn to a article re-writer. The Best Spinner is easily the best on the market. I’ve tried the majority of them and none of them come close to TBS. Its really easy to use and has a tonne of features that make it a stand out. The support is wonderful and price is a bargain as well. Don’t bother trying any other “spinner” out there. TBS is the best by far. Check it out here.

So that rounds up my top 4 internet marketing tools to purchase and use. You can use either “free” or cheaper version that do similar things but you would definitely be missing out on the feature set that comes with some of the products. The features in most cases save you time and as you know, time=money and that’s what the game is all about. So check out the products and be amazed at how much your productivity goes up!

PLR or Private Label Rights packages have been the rage for the last few years in Internet Marketing. In fact, everything has been the “rage” in the last few years in Internet Marketing! Who the hell am I going to kid! As the the IM industry/niche grows and grows so to does all the possible ways to make money.  PLR is one of those ways but in all honesty, does it actually work?

The main idea with the PLR packages is that the creator has done all the work for you. Sure this is a good thing if you can’t do anything for yourself. Say you’re a newbie marketer and you have no clue what to do or lets just be honest here and say it,  you’re a lazy git like me and you want somebody to do all that “boring” stuff for you. Well in a perfect world this tactic would work out but this is reality. So, with your left hand slap yourself on the forehead.

It ain’t going to work!

Even after you put all the templates up and rewrote all the content and tweaked a few things here and there all your left with is a website and no visitors. You need traffic and to get traffic you need “unique” content and lots of it and a tonne of backlinks  so that you can rank in the serps. With the two you ain’t got “S**&” and that’s a promise. No telling the Boss to shove it and no “Living the Dream” lifestyle you always wanted to. Nothing. Nada. Zip. Zilch!

Hang on. Before you get all defensive and start getting all down or angry/frustrated. There is some use in PLR Packages. You can use the content to bolster up your own content. If its any good that is. Ultimately only you can decide if its going to be any good for your site. Most PLR Packages are based on the IM niche. No surprise there right? Its what they know isn’t??? Yep, and there trying hard to cash in on it.

Also if you’re into the niche you can resell the PLR package to your list and see how that goes. Don’t really know if that’s going to work but you can never tell. Anyways, If you’re getting sent emails about buy this PLR package or what not. Think about the whole picture and where PLR really adds value. I think you’ll be surprised on what little value it can add to your business and remember its a business your building here not a hobby.

When you’re starting out with Internet Marketing what you require for success is vastly different to what a full time experienced Internet Marketing Guru is going to need. The “Guru” could have up to 15-20 people working for him full time and could have custom made software that they’ve developed to maximize profits. Sure, they could have spent thousands and thousands of dollars developing the software but they still have it but more importantly “you don’t!”

What you have is probably yourself, a computer, an internet connection and a few hundred dollars and a dream. That’s it. Nothing more than a dream to probably tell the Boss to go shove the JOB up his A#@ whilst you sip daiquiri’s by the beach surrounded by a bevy of beauties.

BIG DIFFERENCE!

So wake up. Sure their methods work but only for them and a handful of other internet marketers in similar positions. Not for you! Your constraints are much much different and if you don’t get over them your pathways to success will be forever blocked.

Listen, what a lot of people end up doing is buying product after product and not getting anywhere. They end up confused, broke and frustrated. How do I know? Well, I was there. I bought all the products that guaranteed me to make a squillion dollars in two weeks. Did it work? No. Because I wasn’t addressing my “real” problem. My constraint. My one true problem that was holding up everything. As soon as I worked that out things changed. For the better.

So how do you know what you’re true constraint is? Well, the long way is to use Rich Schefrens GPS course or read the book Theory of Constraints. However, if you want the quick way you can use the “Five Why’s” method. It’s easy, just ask yourself why five times in a row.

E.G. I’m not making money online.

Why am I not making money online?

Because I don’t have traffic.

Why don’t you have traffic?

Because I don’t know SEO (search engine optimization).

Why don’t you know SEO?

So forth…. I think you get the picture. Now, you can do this for heaps of things. Combine them all so that you can get to the bottom or “root cause” of all your problems. Fix the “root cause” and you’ll be on your way to more profits.

So next time your worried out will product X make me a $1,000,000 bucks in a month or worrying about Traffic of PPC. Try to work out your true constraints. Whats really holding you back and go from there. You’ll be amazed at what happens next.
